"Coming back to yourself, not back": redefining success with Chachou d'Amour from the Bloom Tattoo studio

In this new episode of Echec Réussite, I welcome Chachou, passionate tattoo artist and founder of the Bloom 🌻 salon The central theme of this exchange? Social pressure and the definition of failure (and success), in addition to the gaze of others.

Because what really makes a success? Is it the size of a company, the ability to grow... Or, perhaps, that of knowing how to listen to yourself and go back to basics?

After years of experience in tattooing, Chachou decided to make his dream come true by opening his own salon with multiple artists. Bloom is a success: Chachou has been able to grow his salon and develop a loyal clientele. However, she made the decision to close this successful place and return to a simpler structure with a salon all her own. A decision that may seem surprising, but it allows her to return to a simpler activity focused on her first passion: fineline tattooing.

Is it a failure? Socially, perhaps. But for Chachou, it is above all a personal victory: that of putting one's desires as a priority and not always seeking to achieve standards of greatness and growth, as we are pushed to do in entrepreneurship.

This episode evokes our personal definition of success, which does not always match with the idea we have of it socially. It is not measured by the size of a company or social recognition. Sometimes, YOUR success (like Chachou's) will mean slowing down, going back to the basics and especially to yourself. Because listening to each other will never be a failure.

A final lesson? Not being afraid of change, which can bring us back to the path that truly corresponds to our desires 🙏
