ECAM is a community of 1,300 students from all walks of life and 80 employees, sharing a common ambition: to build a responsible future. Far from being limited to traditional teaching, ECAM stands out for its concrete actions, such as its climate frescoes (already made by + 1,000 students and part of the skills of 25 teachers!), its repair cafés and its Slowheath initiative, aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions through reasoned heating management. We are even told that an eco-team has been born, bringing together students motivated to make things happen on a daily basis, in collaboration with the institution's sustainable development unit! 💪

At ECAM, the team is convinced that each student has a key role to play in the ecological transition. This belief is reflected in their innovative pedagogical approach, which goes far beyond technical skills. As proof, the courses integrate environmental and social issues, with practical projects in eco-design, seminars on the accessibility and sustainable use of materials as well as concrete examples related to the energy transition. Each training course brilliantly aligns with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals to train engineers who are aware of the impact of their decisions... And we are happy about it! 

Thanks to its research centre (CERDECAM), ECAM also participates in innovative projects such as PRIONIA, which uses Walloon wood locally, or DESTORE, which develops heat-based energy storage solutions . Concrete positive impact initiatives as we like them! 🌱
