Growing by Hockey

Growing by Hockey breathes social dynamism into Brussels' working-class neighbourhoods, making hockey accessible to all, transforming an elitist sport into an inclusive collective force, where children and families coexist, learn, laugh and grow together. 🧡

Present in 9 municipalities in the Brussels region and 13 places, the team mobilizes underused school and public infrastructure, creating a real local network where 250 children discover hockey in their neighborhood every week. 🏑

No construction of new pitches, no expensive purchase of equipment: the equipment is supplied on site, the existing facilities are optimised. A clever, sustainable and responsible approach for the planet (and the wallet)!

By training + 30 young student facilitators, Growing by Hockey promotes professional integration, develops soft skills, languages, team spirit and self-confidence, while bringing generations, cultures and families together around a positive and inclusive project. A winning combo! 🏆

Each month, the tournaments bring together children, parents, and animators: a real community celebration that celebrates the spirit of the neighbourhood, the pride of families and the ambition to make hockey joyful, accessible and unifying ! 🎉
