Accessible sustainable food
The Barn seeks to reduce its carbon footprint as much as possible by reducing waste and working with responsible production systems. 🌎 In what ways? By prioritizing seasonal products and offering as many products as possible in bulk, using recycled furniture in stores, recovering unsold products and calculating, reducing and offsetting their carbon footprint each year in sustainable projects. 🌱
Each store is in partnership with a local market gardener with the aim of creating a positive synergy. The market gardener provides organic, local and seasonal products, and provides a lot of information on agriculture, soils, and market gardening practices. 👩 🌾 In return, The Barn allows this market gardener to develop his offer and his project by ensuring a minimum amount of orders, by pre-financing the equipment. The icing on the cake? 🍒 For each store opening, The Barn starts a partnership with a new market gardening project (which even benefits from an investment bonus at the beginning of the collaboration!).

The Barn aims to make sustainable food accessible to everyone by offering the cheapest products on the organic market, but never to the detriment of the producer. 💰 And to combine business with pleasure, the cooperative chooses shop locations in different districts, easily accessible by public transport ! 🚎
