Sustainable workspaces
From a local point of view, we can say that Mundo-Lab is very present: Mundo-Lab creates a real synergy between the organizations installed in its centers, thus promoting a community of actors of change ! 🤗 In addition to the offices, each centre comes alive with restaurants open to the public and various solidarity events (blood donations, collection campaigns or solidarity donations).
Mundo-Lab also sets up a vegetable garden in collaboration with neighbourhood associations and offers collection points for Brita, Bebat and other types of resources, accessible to all. 🌱✨ The centres are committed to the environment with compost areas, Natagora gardens for biodiversity, and large bicycle parking areas to encourage soft (and sporting!) mobility. 🚴♀️
At Mundo-Lab, environmental responsibility is at the heart of every project! 🌍 By redeveloping buildings or constructing new ones, Mundo-Lab focuses on a sustainable and circular approach to minimize its impact. This vision is reflected in the choice of natural, local and labelled materials, optimised energy and water management, waste reduction and a particular focus on biodiversity in outdoor spaces.
In Louvain-la-Neuve, this model takes on a unique scale: the centre uses 90% reused furniture, as well as 100% of the interior glazing from recycling, 46% of the reused doors, and 1250 m² of false floors. The technical feat lies in the use of 68 tonnes of reused steel beams, a first in Europe that reduces the environmental impact by up to 20 times compared to new steel! Wow! 🤩👌
Mundo-Lab's mission is to provide valuable support to associations by providing them with a framework where they can fully focus on their social mission , which promotes the effectiveness of their (beautiful) actions. 🧡 Mundo-Lab also selects its partners and subcontractors carefully, giving priority to reintegration projects through work and social economy actors (such as APAM and the Namur resource centre).
