Field Agent — Gift Information
Job description
At WrappedOps, we believe that the perfect gift can't be guessed — it's investigated. As a field agent, you are our first contact with reality: you go where the data doesn't go, you talk to people, you observe, you listen. And you come back with exactly what it takes to recommend the right gift.
Your main missions:
Intervene in the subjects' natural environment (professional, social, family environment) to collect information with a high gift value
Conducting innocuous conversations with the subject's entourage without revealing the purpose of the mission
Observe behaviours, habits and material cues in accessible spaces (office, public profiles, events)
Write clear and structured observation reports for the analyst or psychologist
Manage several mandates simultaneously with rigor and discretion
Report any sensitive or ethically limited items to the operations department
Profile
Essential:
Excellent observation and active listening skills — you notice what others miss
Natural interpersonal skills: you know how to put people at ease without them knowing why
Absolute discretion and a developed sense of ethics — you know where the investigation ends
Ability to work independently in the field, often outside of regular hours
Fluency in French and English; Dutch is a real asset in Brussels
Nice to have:
Experience in journalism, social work, psychology or any profession involving intense human contact
Knowledge of Brussels and/or European cultural dynamics
B licence – some missions require rapid mobility
Key soft skills: human curiosity, adaptability, composure, discreet humor.
Why apply?
Field budget reimbursed in full (transport, consumption, event tickets)
Flexible schedules — assignments are tailored to the subjects' lives, not the other way around
Meal vouchers €8/day + annual eco-vouchers
Training budget €1,500/year (social psychology, interview techniques, languages, etc.)
Partial teleworking for the writing of reports (2 days/week)
Business phone provided
Close-knit team of 9 people — collective lunch on Thursdays, atmosphere without bullshit
Conduct of interviews
Step 1 — Application
We read your cover letter in full. It's rare, we know. But with us, the way you write says as much as what you write.
Step 2 — Video interview (30 min)
With Amara (Senior Field Agent). Informal conversation about your relationship with people, your discretion, and your ability to manage the unexpected. No trick questions.
Step 3 — Scenario (half day)
You are given a fictitious mini-mandate. You have 3 hours to collect as much information as possible on a fictitious "subject" via public sources and a simulated interaction. You give us a 10-minute oral report. Expenses refunded.
Step 4 — Meeting with Viktor (Director of Operations, 20 min)
Verification of alignment with our ethical values. This is the most important step for us.
Step 5 — Offer within 48 hours
